Servus humans,

Episode 6 is already a couple of weeks ago but it was about time.

After being licked awake by this incredibly good and fresh smelling pug (who ever let him in: Monster), we decided to drive to the P E N I N S U L A  (after a long misunderstanding with lovely G, let's keep it anonymous, guys no prejudice, as she kept asking "the what").

Now who peed in their pants and why? 

To get to one of the beaches you have to walk down a tunnel. We were walking up the stairs of this mysterious tunnel when I suddenly heard someone screaming in front of Abbie.

Next thing I know is two American girls (still no prejudice people, relax) creasing after not expecting Abbie. 

"OMG I literally peed my pants. Did not expect that" *insert American accent here* "What is down there?"

"A beach."

"OMG that's wicckkeeedd"

Having experienced this amazing experience we walked up again, realising what we had done and why most of the people wore sports clothes.

Lets just say, the Dominos afterwards was well deserved and needed to keep our weight on the same level.

And that was it.

As super intelligent as we are, we separated the South island into three bigger trips.

(Wow just when I thought the quality of the pictures couldn't get any worse..)

After an amaze balls golden hour session, we got a warm welcome from 2 pugs, 2 cats and zazzy Zac.

We decided to celebrate our first evening so we went out, got ourselves a Cheeseburger meal and drove to the middle of nowhere. 

After realising that the Sat-nav (actually it was Brebbies fault but oh well let's not be mad) was taking us to the wrong place, we decided to pull over and squeezed ourselves into a deserted carpark.

Once we were spotted by a local (in the darkness) taking a selfie, we drove back to our Airbnb.

Now we're coming to the part where it gets interesting.

One of the cats decided to give us a second ,literally warm, welcome by pooing into our room.

The good thing is: without this terrific gift, we wouldn't of meet our other roomie.

Not knowing what to do, brave me went into the living room and asked the stranger what to do about the poo in our room. He cleaned it up and that was about it for the evening.

What a time to be alive realising tap water is for free in NZ but you pay $10 for it anyways.

On the day I lost $10 we drove to Akaroa. Now, about a week later, I am wiser and on our first separate trip to the South which is why I can't remember much but the water incident. Here are some impressions of last week's trip.

Oh and our first recommendation is the l'hotel restaurant/cafe in Akaroa.

Very cute, very delicious... but ask for FREE tap water. Don't make the same mistake.

29.08.2016; 9 o'clock in the morning

Ms Tucker-Swift is of course already showered, dressed and doing her Make-up making me feel like a douch again. Luckily it is me who decides when we drive.

                   10 o'clock: the sat-nav is ready to go to guide us to Lake Tekapo (a map is therefore not 

                                     necessary (well that's what we thought)) 

                   half 11: after a slow drive through the mountains over many many MANY dead animals 

                                and passing 3 police cars (yes I counted, keeping in mind I'm practically still 

                                driving without a license) we arrived at Lake Tekapo.

                               

        

                             






Anyways it was about 1 o'clock: we got a "map" at the tourist information to drive to the end of the
                                                    lake to have a better view (it sounded good at that time even though
                                                    my personal sat-nav specifically told me she cannot read maps)
                           about 2 o'clock: the realisation that the so-called map was completely useless ( just
                                                     like our sat-nav) hit us hard standing in front of a "bridge" with a
                                                    sign  saying "use at your own risk" after a quite risky drive through
                                                    the middle of nowhere.
                                         2:10  : we decided to turn around and drive home while stopping by and
                                                   taking some pictures in the wildness

"And showed them to my husband".

I'm currently sitting here writing the review of the day and let me say, it was a good one.

Getting woken up by the smell of Mocha as well as sunshine is quite luxurious. A nice way of forgetting the fact that incredibly intelligent me forgot to take her actual driver's license with her to the other side of the world. (Yes, I know I'm amazing) 

After getting ready and a hysterical search for my beloved sunglasses, we stopped by Rakaia on our way to Christchurch.

(excuse the bad quality I have no idea (yet) how to change this)

Anyways after about an hours drive we finally arrived at our destination which was breathtaking.

Arriving back at the ground we went to a pub in Christchurch to have a drink which leads us to the title.

We were just sitting there drinking wine, minding our own business when suddenly this blonde lady appeared next to Abbie. It looked like she wanted to say something like "Hey I recognise you from somewhere" but instead, she suddenly went: "I really love your nail polish *which is ACTUALLY mine*. I just took a couple of photos of you and showed them to my husband." A couple of minutes later she left and we knew: that lady had a few too many drinks. (Creepy enough she didn't even sit next to us) 

To sum today up: We now know how to make friends in NZ: with my nail polish.
